I would certainly try E-Bay, search for pasta maker, and then where it says location on the left side, click on worldwide. I bet you can find what you are looking for and have it shipped to your door.

My son is on the GFCF diet/ SCD diet. He is autistic. We would love to make some pasta. I have a pasta maker but we cannot use any gluten (wheat or any of it’s durivates), casein (a milk protein), eggs, soy, rice, corn, oats, safflower and coconut. We can do nut flours, veggies, meat. If such a thing can be done please answer me, thanks so much

I saw Aldo Zilli use one of these to make pasta on TV a while ago (he made Spaghetti Vongole if it helps anyone remember!) The rack consists of a set of fine wires, stretched across a wooden frame. The pasta dough is rolled flat then placed on the rack and the roller used to push the pasta through the wires, cutting it into strips of spaghetti (or maybe spaghettini?) It works like a giant egg slicer but I can’t find one to buy anywhere. I don’t want a rotary mangle style pasta maker as it looks like a pain to clean and I probably wouldn’t use it much. This was so simple - 500g pasta flour and 4 eggs and 2 minutes work and you have fresh pasta!
Thanks,
Robin

Maybe people do this all the time, I just usually boil water on the stove in a pot and cook it the old fashioned way. The problem is, we got a new cooktop and so my husband took out the old one and it was hauled away with last week’s trash, but he still hasn’t hooked up the new one. We’ve been eating a lot of sandwiches and also at my mom’s, but my son loves pasta with tomato sauce and I can’t make it for him. I don’t have one of those newfangled pasta makers for the microwave, but I do have a rice cooker, will that work? Any suggestions?

I was given a used hand creek pasta maker, looks like stainless steel, is heavy, good condition except one of the cutters has dark gunk on it. A simple dry brush won’t do the job. Can anything else be done safely?

i really want to make raviloli but all i have is a rolling pin

Ravioli With Ricotta Filling
—–basic pasta dough—–
4 cups sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 eggs
6 tablespoons very cold water
—–ricotta filling—–
3 cups ricotta cheese — (about
1 1/2 pounds )
2 eggs — well beaten
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped parsley
BASIC PASTA DOUGH Stir into a large bowl a mixture of: 4 c sifted flour and salt. Make a well in center of flour. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing slightly after each addition: Add gradually about: 6 Tablespoons very cold water Mix well to make a stiff dough. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 3 to 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. (Use shorter time if you are using a pasta machine to roll the dough.)
RICOTTA FILLING Combine in a large bowl all filling ingredients. ASSEMBLY Divide dough into fourths. Lightly roll each portion 1/8 inch thick and cut lengthwise into 5 inch wide strips. Use the strips immediately–do nt allow to dry. Place 2 teaspoons of the filling 1 1/2 inches from the narrow end and in the center of the strip. Continue along the strip, placing the filling at about 3 1/2 inch intervals. Fold the strip in half lengthwise, covering the mounds of filling. To seal, press the edges together with the tines of a fork. Press gently between the mounds to form rectangles about 3 1/2 inches long. Cut apart with a pastry cutter and press the cut edges with the tines of a fork to seal.
COOKING In a large saucepan bring to a boil: 7 quarts water 2 Tb salt Gradually add the ravioli (about one-half at a time). Boil rapidly, uncovered, about 20 minutes or until tender. Remove raviolis with a slotted spoon and drain. Palce on a warmed platter and top with tomato sauce.
Sprinkle with: grated Romano or Parmesan cheese Serve immediately.
Makes about 3 dozen ravioli.

I don’t have a pasta maker, can i do it by hand? or is this too hard? Will the dough work with a rolling pin? to make Ravioli
